About Craftolog'y
Craftolog’y is a one-woman-owned creative venture, bringing people together through hands-on, immersive workshops. The name reflects its essence: Craft Catalog, a place filled with endless creative possibilities, with the Y representing Yean, the founder behind it.
What started in June 2023 as a love for handcrafting and hosting has grown into a dynamic experience — popping up at local venues and offering mobile craft workshops throughout the Bay Area. Specializing in unique candle, perfumery, and natural body care making, each workshop blends artistry with tradition, inspired by Korean craftsmanship and backed by certifications from various Korean craft associations.
While we love bringing creativity to different spaces, most workshops take place in a cozy, homey setting (living room) in San Jose, offering an intimate, relaxed atmosphere. And if you’d rather craft in your own space, we can bring the experience to you!
Here, it's not just about what you make; it's about the journey — the moments spent creating, experimenting, learning, and sharing ideas. Think of it as a relaxed, fun space where you can craft something totally unique while hanging out with like-minded people. Let's craft something magical together!
The Heart Behind Craftolog'y
W.Yean Chong (Founder/Craft Instructor)
Hi! I’m Yean (pronounced as Yen), the founder and craft instructor at Craftolog’y. With a background in multimedia design and film production, I started my career in the printing industry. After a few years in the corporate world, I started asking myself, “Is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life?”
In late 2022, I took a leap of faith and invested in myself, diving into the world of crafting. I pursued certified craft courses and rediscovered my passion for hands-on creativity. What started as a hobby quickly turned into something much bigger, and that’s how Craftolog’y was born.
There's still so much more to learn — not just about crafting, but about running a small business, marketing, and communication. It’s been an exciting journey! I can't wait to keep growing and creating with all of you!
